· The Time Travel

We drove into the small room smashing the doors off. It was a bumpy ride. Every time we smashed on something; my heart skipped a beat. We were nearing the room with the time machine. Nik asked us to drive right into the machine. When I heard that, my heart was in my throat. My mouth dropped to the floor and we screamed at the top of our lungs. I closed my eyes and only concentrated on the sound around me. The sound of the motorbike behind us accelerating, the sound of my Nik and Clayton screaming. Suddenly I heard the sound of metal hitting the floor. Curious, I opened my eyes but a bright light blinded me. I raised my hands to my face to block the blinding light. When I opened my eyes, we were in a dark room full of cobwebs.

“Did we travel back to the present or we are dead and this is the afterlife?”

I went outside and everything was like before. Everything was covered with a white cloth; the dust was chocking and the windows were closed.

“Is this my lab presently?” Nik asked with a hint of sadness in his voice.

I nodded. I pitied Nik as after his scientific discoveries and hard work turn to dust, or rather, turn dusty. We headed outside and we waddled through the tall grass. I asked Nik where would he go while he was in the future or present. He just shrugged. Suddenly, a million light bulbs switched on in my head.

“I might know where you can live,” I said with a grin.

We went to my house and I knocked on Caleb’s door. Clayton asked why we are here. I didn’t answer him. When Caleb opened the door, I introduced Caleb to his knew roommate-Nik!

“What?!” everyone shouted

Caleb was on cloud nine. I could see it on his face. He smiled from ear to ear. He hugged me so tightly I could barely breathe. I tapped his shoulder signaling to let go. He grabbed Nik and pulled him into his house. We giggled at Nik being shoved inside Caleb’s house. Nik waved goodbye and we left. I yawned loudly, stretching my arms. I said that I was going to hit the sack. We were up for the days. Clayton on the other hand didn’t look a bit tired.

“You won’t get rid of me that easy. I’m going to stay at your house a little longer. I wanna play with Snowy,”

“What! Oh fine. Just don’t disturb my sleep”

He saluted and waited outside my house. I was too tired to argue with this annoying Clayton.

“Rome, here we come!”

“We’re not going so, soon are we?”

“Nah! Just in two days”

“WHAT?!”
